Elite armor delima
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this question but....
I finally got my Elite & its all upgraded with runes & insignia, then I decided to get the Monument armor...
My question is ... what should I do with my Elite Armor Set now? Is it better to salvage it? Or Keep to take up bank space?

keep it, you can always start a mule character if the storage space becomes a problem

Just remember to sell your stuff. It gets confusing when you have more mules then character you actually play.
But yeah thats what I do I got a few armor sets for my ele (most of which have a peticular build they go with). So yeah just hold onto the you might need them later.

Yeah, always keep your armors. Make room by selling other stuff. If you salvage you never get out of it all of what you put in it.
That's why armor is an investment.

Keep it. Dont salvage it. You'll regret it. I've salvaged a number of elite armors over the years and regret all of them. There is a problem with space for them, but store the extra armor on a character you dont use all that often.
I will also take this moment to hoist a cow over the wall and sack Anet for never having implemented an armor NPC a la the festival hat one. Armor storage annoys me to no end. Wankers. My monk alone has more than 6 sets and a host of head pieces for all occasions, and no character I have has less than three.

You mean a bad investment. Investments should always earn money, not lose it. Looking at armor as an investment is like telling someone never to make elite armors at all.

Well I wanted to fill up my Hall of monuments, thats why I got the Monument armor .... lol for investments
I hadn't thought of having different sets for different build with runes to go with them - ty for the suggestion
And I have no clue about what a mule is .. all 4 character slots share the same bank .. so how do i switch the armor to one of them?

Right, forgot to mention that. Since there's no return it's not so good an investment. Didn't mean it to sound like that. I guess they're...a yeah, I forgot, a money sink.

Err...no.
Armor doesn't work like that. It's customized for whatever character buys it.
If you put in your HoM you can still wear it. It's not like you physically take it off and put it in there or anything.

that depends....do you still LIKE your first set??? if yes, keep it, if not then figure out what you dont like about it- and will you every use it again for anything???
Most of my characters still have at least part of their first elite set, except my necro---she hated the choices she got in tyria and gladly salvaged it when she had better options (with no regret)...
Most people would say keep it, but if you dont like it and wont use it (other than to put in you HoM---which you can do and then get rid of it)...then no reason for it to take up storage space.

No, it stays. I've salvaged most of mine, and they're still displayed.

Keep your first set. Rune/mod your second set differently so you'll have an excuse to still use both.

Exactly. Set up armor for different situations. Lets say your an ele. Have one set with survivor insignas, another with blessed, and another geomancer set (for the terratank farming build).

I have a mule for armor sets, works quite well. You can keep one set on your (I hope so >_> ), one in your storage and the others on your mule.

A mule is a character you don't play, who basically just holds stuff. They get a backpack, pouch and 2 bags so 45 slots to hold junk for everyone else. You can buy extra slots for the account at the online store or delete unused chars/make them mule. Watch it though, I'm convinced mules breed. I have 4 now.

Why delete them? Just use those characters to store stuff and if you every feel like playing it again, convert another char into a mule and move your stuff there.

You use the bank to move the armors from one char to another. You can only use the armor on the char the armor was made for, but you can store them on any one.
